Today I did a physical migration of my servers to a new place. In total I had almost 12 TB of raw storage in my car, ignoring replication etc. It was around a 25-minute drive. That is the equivalent of more than 60 gigabits per second. Never underestimate the network speed of a van full of hard drives going down the highway.

Regardless, the migration went well and total downtime was only about an hour or two. Some router tweaks were needed to set up the legacy IP ranges for now. I still need to migrate the main k8s cluster to the new IP ranges.
