I got myself a new desktop finally, my current one was built in 2018 still running a GTX 1060 6GB. Now I got a RTX 5070 12GB so I can test and play with some local LLM things. My desktop used to be Windows 10 but with the new one I am running openSUSE Tumbleweed. My server experience with openSUSE MicroOS was smooth so I wanted to do more tests with openSUSE. Tumbleweed looked perfect for my use cases, stable rolling release with Btrfs for easy backups and rollbacks so it should be hard to break and also works good for gaming.
