The expansion of my music setup continues with the addition of Koito and multi-scrobbler. Koito is selfhosted scrobbler (like last.fm) and multi-scrobbler routes my scrobbles from multiple sources to multiple clients. In my current setup I have Navidrome and Spotify (for now) as sources, and Koito and Last.fm as clients. I as using Last.fm before and I will continue to use it but I don’t want to depend on it. That is why I also running Koito even though they effectively do the same thing. But Koito gives me full control over my data. The import process to combine all my history from last.fm and Spotify took some time but now I have my full history under my control inside Koito. My public instance is available at scrobble.pine32.be. Now I can just show people this link when they ask what music I listen to, they get real untainted data.
